Will this guilty feeling ever leave me?

The answer is a big whopping YES! Most of GOD’s children continue to feel guilty for various reasons. Some that I am familiar with are the following.

  • You have not fully accepted GOD’s forgiveness.
  • You keep reminding yourself of the wrong you did.
  • You listen to someone else remind you of the wrong you did.
  • You are being taught incorrectly about the forgiveness of GOD.
  • You have not forgiven…

How serious is sin?

Well, let’s look at the beginning of sin. Genesis 3:1-6, 11-13; take notice of a few things.

1.  The moment the serpent began to speak; Eve should have known something was wrong instead of standing there conversation with it.

2.  GOD never told Adam that he or his wife could not touch the fruit of the tree.

3.  Adam and Eve were already like GOD because they were created in HIS image. GOD spoke to them daily so anything they…

What is heaven like?

Heaven is a Kingdom and the throne of GOD. In heaven are many mansions. It holds the purses of our treasure where we may obtain what we need here on earth. A throne with someone seated; there are twenty-four elders seated around the throne. In the front of the throne are seven torches which are the seven spirits of GOD. In front of the throne is a shiny sea of glass. In the center and around the throne are four living beings. All they…

How do I cope with death?

Before we can understand death; we must understand life. GOD’s original purpose was that we live forever but with Adams sin we were sentenced to death. GOD is a Spirit and we were created in HIS image; meaning that we are spirit clothed in flesh. Our flesh is made from the dirt/dust of the ground; our spirit is inside and GOD breathes life in our nostrils so that we have become a living soul which has the ability to…

Manna Moments -- Going Straight

Acts 9:11 “The Lord told him, “Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying.”

Good morning it is finally here, Happy Feet Friday! Baby its chilly outside! Well here we are living for the weekend! The leaves are steadily dropping as fall is in its glory. This is also a heavy party weekend for those that celebrate Halloween. Yes there are Christians that celebrate Halloween, not for what it represents, often it is called a fall… Continue

How can I control my temper?

Understand that anger in and of itself is not sinful. It’s how we act on the emotion of anger that maybe sinful. When we are treated unjustly sometimes it’s best that we step away to cool off and think about what

happened. Do not allow yourself to remain angry as you retire to your bed for the day. This will cause much harm to your spirit and while you are asleep; the thought of your anger and the unjustness that you have…

How can I know GOD's will for my life?

The first requirement is to know HIM as our SAVIOR. Once we have accepted GOD’s only begotten SON, JESUS we will be able to read the instructions given to us in our Bible. The Holy Spirit will open up our understanding and when we attend a Word teaching ministry we will hear how we are to apply GOD’s Word to our lives in our daily walk. We will be encouraged to obey GOD’s will. Also attending Bible study gives us the opportunity to ask…

What is prayer?

Simply put its constant communication with our CREATOR, GOD.

People don’t pray for the most common reasons; they’ve not been taught to pray and the importance of

prayer. They’ve not…

What does it mean to be born again?

“Born Again” is a phrase that was first used by JESUS

HIMSELF in John 3:3. JESUS told Nicodemus the Pharisee that he must be born

again. This is just as confusing today as it was when JESUS told it to

Nicodemus, but JESUS took the time to explain this new birth experience to

Nicodemus. Just as we are all born into a physical family we must also be born

into a spiritual family, GOD’s family of believers. We learn…

2 Corinthians 6:14 “Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?”

Can I be happy instead of depressed?

The answer to this question is “Yes”!

Let’s look at 5 basic principles of depression. Depression is a demonic spirit and it attacks the individual. Not everyone has a spirit of depression; some may experience depression as a temporary emotion which is brought on by negative news and then in about 3 days or so you begin to come out of it. However, in…

Why do we keep looking at our failures?

The simple reason why we fail is that naturally in our

flesh we are bent towards sin. Apostle Paul had this struggle and made it clear

that we are in a struggle between our flesh and our born again spirit within

us. Are we to be discouraged because this struggle is ever present with us? No!

This is exactly what satan would like to see us do; quit, give up hope; believe

that it’s not worth the effort or that it…

Manna Moment - The Epistle of Life

2 Corinthians 3:3 “You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.”

Open the door to JESUS

Revelation 3:20

When I was a wee child; I lived with my Great-Grandmother. In her bedroom she had a picture of a person that modeled for the role of JESUS knocking on a door. Now I never paid any attention to anything in the picture with the exception of the model; who I thought at that time was actually JESUS. A few years ago I was in a Bible study and that picture was described; it came to my attention that the door did not have a doorknob on the outside of the door. I…

GOD keeps us from falling

GOD keeps us from falling

Jude 24-25

Unlike the famous television commercial; “I’ve fallen and I can’t get up!” GOD’s children do not fall on or into a realm of unprotection. We are always in the Ark of safety because we belong to GOD. We are not perfect yet we strive for perfection; because of this there will be times when we will make a mistake but this does not mean that we have our hearts bent towards sin. Sometimes we will react to sin…

Manna Moment - A Matter of Competence

2 Corinthians 3:5 “Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God.”

Good morning it is Monday morning and as always instead of dragging about the weekend being over; instead think of today as an opportunity to achieve something great for God! It’s that time of year again with the holiday season beginning next month. SLS will have its Annual Thanksgiving Dinner drive to assist families that are in need, and then follow with… Continue

Manna Moment - Sinful Nature Part 10

Galatians 5:19-21 “The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.”

Good morning it is Happy Feet Friday! Yeah it has arrived very quickly this week and I am okay with it! We have had quite a bit of rain this… Continue

Confessions of sin

1 John 1:7-10

There is not one sin known or unknown to man that we cannot come to GOD and ask HIM to forgive us in JESUS name. GOD is compassionate; faithful; forgiving; merciful and HIS abundant grace delivers; heals; saves us from our mistakes. We don’t have to be ashamed or guilty for making a mistake; allowing our flesh to take over or straight out rebellion. The very instant that we are aware of a sin that we committed all we need to do is tell GOD what we did and ask…

Don't worry

Matthew 6:25-34; 1 Peter 5:7

My life was plagued by fear for many years. It began as a child and followed me through until I was well within my forty’s. Fear is not a friend but our enemy. The spirit of fear began to destroy my life because it caused me to be afraid of meeting new people. Fear kept me in a mode of always wanting to please others. Fear brought with it anxiety which made me nervous all the time; I developed certain tics; for example talking fast; stammering;…
