Acts 9:11 “The Lord told him, “Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying.”
Good morning it is finally here, Happy Feet Friday! Baby its chilly outside! Well here we are living for the weekend! The leaves are steadily dropping as fall is in its glory. This is also a heavy party weekend for those that celebrate Halloween. Yes there are Christians that celebrate Halloween, not for what it represents, often it is called a fall festival or one church called it Holyween. No debate from me on whether its sin or not, the Holy Spirit convicts and leads if you are open to his voice. In any event please be careful out there. There will be a Girls Night Out at Calvary Gospel Church, 11150 Berry Road, Waldorf, MD at 7:00 p.m TONIGHT. Stop by for FOOD, FUN & FELLOWSHIP! Who knows what directress Brenda Gibbs have going on!
Today we are still in the book of Acts in chapter 9, where Saul was converted to Paul on his way to Damascus. As Paul has been rendered blind, Jesus is now speaking to a Christian by the name of Ananias. He is giving him instructions so that it lines up with the instructions that Paul gets. See how God works. Earlier he told Paul to go to Damascus and await instructions. Then He tells a disciple what to do. In any event my question to you was at your conversion (not literally), did you end up on Straight Street. Of course you did because you would not be walking today if you did not. Instead you would be still going on streets that curved, dipped and often in circles. But your conversion has resulted in your going straight. Thank you Lord for taking me to Straight Street and allowing me to walk this journey! Give God some praise as you read this for your crooked paths have been made straight (Isaiah 42:16)! Hallelujah! Have a great weekend!
