"To Reach Them, Teach Them and Release Them to GOD's PURPOSE."

Romans 16:3 - [ Greeting Roman Saints ] Greet Priscilla and Aquila, my fellow workers (companion, helper, laborer) in Christ Jesus,~~~Paul Speaking.

It wasn't long ago that my darling husband (dh) and I was directed to found a ministry that God had birthed in us back in 2007.

We had to wait until the conditions were right and God's Kairos = (Greek for time) was full, that the ministry went to a more hands on level. We started nursing home visits together, then we started getting hospital snacks for the ICU and taking them together. Usually ending up praying for someone in the waiting room.

When we would go on visitation, we were together, when we counsel, we are together.

We are raising several children, and yup, we do that together as well.

We laugh together, we pray together, eat together, watch t.v. together, walk together, love together.

My DH was gifted in 2009 to begin creating jewelry pieces and under our ministry we started St.Claire's Jewelry. We used the proceeds to bless some people
that needed help. Now, he had not been trained to do this, and to this date has taken no classes or had any other training, but he produces piece after piece in
splendor and beauty.

He however has no idea about packaging, marketing, or pricing. So, when asked he says, "I just make them, she does everything else...."

So, we started working together with that.

So, naturally, when the ministry was taken to the next level, (obtaining a place where God's people could meet, and worship Him), there was never a question that we were going to do this together.

So how absolutely funny and absurd it was to hear that someone say with malice, "So who's name is going to be listed first as the pastor?"

Isn't it amazing how absolutely crazy people can be? Can two people not be called to the same gift?

Here Paul is sending a letter, and greeting Priscilla FIRST!

Did that mean that Aquila wasn't called to do what he was doing? I don't think so. I believe it simply meant at the time of the writing that Paul must have had her on his mind for something that she may have taught him, or her hospitality, or her demeanor, or their friendship that stood out at the time.

There are at least five scriptures that list this couple in ministry. Sometimes his name was listed first, sometimes her name was listed first.

They had a church in THEIR home, THEY took him (Apollos) unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly. (Acts 18:26)

THEY were tentmakers - (Acts 18:3) And because he (Paul) was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought: for by their occupation they were tentmakers.

So, when Paul calls them fellow workers, he meant just that! How much more that they labored in the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ!

The Bible tells us that we ought to know those who labor among us! Whether the laborer is male or female, for in Him there is no difference!
