Jeremiah 6:29  “The bellows blow fiercely to burn away the lead with fire, but the refining goes on in vain; the wicked are not purged out.”

 

Good morning an overcast Monday morning and back to the swing of things!  What a weekend, if you miss the Health & Faith Expo this Saturday, you missed a great time out.  It was an opportunity for you to get free screenings and to get to know the various services available right here in Waldorf, Maryland!  The praise dancers of Angel Light from Covenant Point Lakeside Methodist Church and Vision from Calvary Gospel were a sight to see as they worshipped in dance.  If you were up to it we had 3 yes 3 Zumba demos and they were exciting as well from ABC Wellness and Fitness Center, instructor Tammie.  Don’t let Monday be a downer, think of it as an opportunity to do something great for God!

 

Today’s text is taken from Jeremiah as God reminds us that our trials and tribulations are like metal being purified by fire.  As some may know, fire is used to burn impurities from gold, silver, iron, bronze and other metals.  The hotter the fire the more purification is going on.  Look at your trials and tribulations as hot fire purifying into the image that God desires for each one of us.  I know, I know most think that once we are believers that we will never have another worry or trial.  Not true, God didn’t say that you wouldn’t have trials, he did say that he would not give you more fire than you can handle: 1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.  Hey have you been purified and can say that you have some gold or silver in you?  Know that God has got your back and only wants the very best for you!  Hallelujah what a savior we have!  Blessings!
