We are in still studying in the book of Acts as Peter is ministering in Caesarea, which is a town in Israel located mid-way between Tel Aviv and Haifa on the Israeli Mediterranean coast near the city of Hadera. The town was built by Herod the Great about 25-13 BC. As you read these verses Peter realizes that all, not just the Jews are eligible to receive the Holy Spirit. For those that listen and receive the message of Jesus Christ, shall receive. In verse 45 says he was astonished! It is the same for us, no matter who you are or how bad your sin is, if you believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins and accept him as your Lord and Savior, you shall be saved and can receive the Holy Spirit. So yes Jeffrey Dahmer received Christ and repented. God does not discriminate in whom he blesses, He gives all the opportunity. Some religions believe that there is a limitation in who gets what, but Peter says that God does not show favoritism. Every man from every nation that fear him and do what is right, will receive Christ and is eligible to receive the Holy Spirit. Rejoice in knowing what a loving and fair God we serve. God bless you and have a great weekend!
