"To Reach Them, Teach Them and Release Them to GOD's PURPOSE."

2 Corinthians 5:14-21 “For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves but for Him who died for them and rose again. Therefore from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”

When we become new in Christ we are totally fresh, something that is unused, new creations, that means who we were, is now gone and who we are now, is a re-creation. When we enter into relationship with Christ we have died to our old self and have begun life as a new person. We don’t do a 360°, which means we turned around and went right back to whom and what we were. No, we become a new creation, that means we did a 180° and go in a totally different direction.

The word compromise means to make a shameful or disreputable concession; when we compromise our faith it means that we concede to the devil and agree to do something that is not found in the Word of God, this may sound harsh, however, the Word of God tell us in James 4:17 “Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.” We know that sin is not only actively committing an evil deed, it is also passively failing to do what you know is of God and what is in the Word of God, no compromising. It means doing the right, Biblical and Godly thing you know to do, regardless what others think or regardless of the cost.

This means then that we simply cannot live the way we did, nor can we compromise and say, “Well, I’ve always done this or that and I am not going to change now.” Doesn’t what we just read in 2 Corinthians 5 say that, “we live no longer for ourselves, but for Him who died for them (those things of old) and rose again.” If we are going to compromise the Word of God then our salvation is to no avail. We simply cannot continue to live the way we used to if we are going to be righteous and live the Christ-life.

When we pray we must realize that, like the High Priest entering into the Holy of Holies, no stink of corruption of human fleshly ways can ways can enter in with us. If the High Priest had any sin or compromised ways God would strike him dead. This being the case, then how can we assume that when we compromise our faith in any way, (that is any way not found in the Word of God) we can go before a holy God with that sin of compromise and expect to live spiritually?

Rather let us develop humility, and that is what true faith is. Let us avoid, at all costs compromising the life God wants us to live, this includes pride and self-centered ambition that is at enmity with God. Let us determine in our heart to live godly, Biblically based lives and strive to avoid those things that are not godly. 1 John 4:1 warns believers not to be so gullible that they indiscriminately accept anything that claims to be of God, if it does not line up or is found in the Scriptures, it’s not of God. There are just too many cultic and teachers of heresies that are false spirits, described in God’s Word as the spirit of Antichrist and this includes the spirit of error which is not the Spirit of the Living God who is the Spirit of truth.
