- The Reverend Kathi R. Chavous is a nationally renowned preacher, conference speaker, teacher and seminar leader, who has touched the lives of many of God’s people through her transformational message of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Presently Rev. Chavous serves as assistant pastor at Atlanta’s historic Providence Missionary Baptist Church where, provides oversight of the Family Life Discipleship Ministries and Community Social Services ministries. Rev. Chavous holds the Master of Divinity degree from the Morehouse School of Religion at the Interdenominational Theological Center with a dual concentration in Leadership Development and Homiletics. She is also the founder of KRenee Ministries, a holistic ministry designed to speak to the issues/concerns relevant to today’s people as addressed in God’s Word. This is accomplished through seminars, conferences, and life coaching. Rev. Chavous also serves as Chair of the Advisory Board and clergy mentor in the ITC’s Faith Journey Program. She has also served as Adjunct Professor in the ITC’s Certificate in Theology Program as well as the Atlanta Metropolitan College’s Continuing Education program. Rev. Kathi Chavous is also a national recipient of many honors and awards such as the Martin Luther King, Sr. Pastoral Ministry Award; the Sandy F. Ray Memorial Preaching Award; the Buffalo Council of Churches Ecumenical Service Award; and the Delta Sigma Theta Pinnacle Leadership Award and the Women of the Cloth-Torch Award.
An anointed woman of God, Rev. Chavous’ mission is to preach the gospel message, minister in urban communities, develop leaders and counsel people in need. Rev Chavous is grateful to God for the blessing and privilege of serving the Kingdom of God in this present age.
