The Alliance of Women Clergy

"To Reach Them, Teach Them and Release Them to GOD's PURPOSE."

But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. (James 3:14 KJV) This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. (James 3:15 KJV)
We have a tendency to speak out of our emotions. If the emotional state from which we speak is one of bitterness & anger, we will speak from the perspective of that pain, but not necessarily the truth. It's the truth as seen through the eyes of justification as one attempts to justify his/her reason for being angry.
The more we speak it, the more we believe it. Consequently, our version of the truth becomes unshakeable as the real truth begins to slowly dissolve. That's why we say there are three versions of every story - his version, her version, & the truth.
We have to be willing to step away from our emotions long enough to see the truth as it is. Not as we interpret it. Only then can we deal with root causes and truly resolve conflict.
If we do not we will be misled by a false wisdom. A wisdom the Bible says is not from above, earthly, sensual, & devilish. That's how we justify the wrong in which we get entangled. I did this because he. . . I did this because she . . . But what does God say? Until we respond according to the Word of God, we lie against the truth & we never deal with core issues. Those issues get glossed over as we bicker about his version, her version, but never the truth.
