Reverend Sarah Reed
Christ Church
Minister of Outreach Women of Purpose founder
Rev. Sarah Reed is a woman of purpose on a mission. The grace of God is evident in her life, as she believes, “…each individual has a God-given purpose. In order for a person to live a meaningful life, they must know their purpose. This can be achieved as the whole person, body, mind, and spirit is transformed through a relationship with Jesus Christ and others.”
Rev. Sarah Reed is a native of Liberia, West Africa. She fled Liberia’s brutal civil war in 1980 to the United States. She settled in Houston, Texas where she attended Prairie View A & M University. In 1988, after getting married, she moved with her husband John to NJ. Here, she rededicated her life to the Lord, and god has been proving Himself through her since then.
In 2001 she established the 501(c) 3 non-profit organization, Women of Purpose Ministries. Her inspiration stems from her own struggle in overcoming living a life of poverty. In overcoming she is now giving back to her local and native communities. WOMEN OF PURPOSE reaches out to people in her community here in the United States and Liberia, her native country.
